Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree, 6:08 PM, Thursday, June 3, 2021, Dewey Ave. – On 6/3/2021 at 6:08pm, Jason JONES, M/50, was arrested by Officer POST for Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree after he allegedly had contact with an individual who has an active order of protection against him. JONES was arraigned in front of Judge BURNS of BCC. BURNS committed JONES to the GCJ in lieu of $500.00 cash bail. JONES is scheduled to appear back in Batavia City Court on 7/1/2021 at 1:30pm.
Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree; Unlawful Possession of Fireworks, 6:30 PM, Thursday, June 3, 2021, W. Main St. – On 6/3/2021, Jason JONES, M/50, was arrested on charges of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, and Unlawful Possession of Fireworks. The charges stem from an incident where JONES was being taken into custody on an unrelated matter. Officers allegedly located a collapsible baton and fireworks in JONES’ vehicle. JONES was processed at Batavia Police Department Headquarters, arraigned in Batavia City Court before Judge BURNS and held on $5,000 A/$10,000 B/$20,000 E. JONES is due back in Batavia City Court on 7/1/2021 at 1:30pm.
Menacing 2nd Degree, 10:43 AM, Friday, June 4, 2021, State St. – On 6/8/2021, Michael LYTLE, M/32, was arrested for Menacing in the Second Degree following a disturbance that took place on 6/4/2021. It is alleged that LYTLE displayed a pellet gun that was perceived to be a real firearm following a verbal dispute with the victim. LYTLE is due in Batavia City Court on 6/27/2021 at 1:00pm.
Harassment 2nd Degree; Endangering the Welfare of a Child, 7:07 PM, Sunday, June 6, 2021, School St. – On 6/6/2021, Officer POST arrested Christopher TAYLOR, M/21, for Harassment 2nd Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, following a domestic incident. TAYLOR was arraigned in front of Judge BURNS of Batavia City Court. Judge BURNS released TAYLOR on his own recognizance with a return court date of 6/24/2021 at 1:30pm.
Menacing 2nd Degree; Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, 7:32 PM, Tuesday, June 8, 2021, E. Main St. – On 6/8/2021, Kevin MCCOY, M/54, was arrested on the aforementioned charges. It’s alleged that MCCOY threatened three other people with a knife during an argument in a parking lot on E. Main St. He was arraigned by Judge ROGERS and remanded to the Genesee County Jail without bail. He is due back in court on 6/10/2021.
