ABATE/Genesee County President Tim Johnson and about 42 motorcyclist, traveled from Stan’s Harley Davidson on West Saile Drive, to the VA WNY grounds on Richmond avenue on Sunday, to thank veterans for their service and share goodwill before Flag Day tomorrow. The slow roll ride was escorted by the NYS Police.
Due to COVID last year, the group was unable to stop and chat with veterans.
This year, ABATE members were able to stop and spend time with veterans outdoors in the west parking lot, shake hands, take photos and thank them for their service. Veterans were able to check out the motorcycles and a few pets that came along for the ride.
The group hopes to continue the rally/slow roll and stop next year.
