WYOMING COUNTY/Attica/Crossing Guard retires after 22 years

Mrs. Beth Russell has retired from her position as a school crossing guard for the Village of Attica Police Department. Mrs. Russell began her career as a crossing guard in 1999 at the intersection of Exchange and Main Street.

Though out her 22 years of service, Mrs. Russell dedicated herself to the children, families and community each and every day. Mrs. Russell made it her mission to get to know every child and family. Each day she would go out of her way to say hello and ask if she could help anyone who came across her path.

Mrs. Russell was presented a Proclamation of Dedicated Service to the Community from Mayor Montford and the Village Board of Trustees. Chief Hendershott presented Mrs. Russell with a Commendation Award for exceptional meritorious service and outstanding contribution to the community, the police department and herself which brought honor and recognition with her duties over a 22-year career.

We wish Mrs. Russell the very best on her future endeavors and wish to thank her for a job very well done.
