WYOMING COUNTY/Perry home suffers $25,000 in damages in electrical fire

Seven fire companies responded to a house fire at 7851 Rt. 39 in the Town of Perry early Sunday morning. The home is owned by Raymond and Lorraine Sturm.

Fire crews were called to the home about about 1:06a.m. On scene it was discovered that the electrical service line to the house shorted and ignited a fire in the wall of the home.

According to the Wyoming County Office of Emergency Services, the home suffered $25,000 in damages,

No one was injured.

Fire crews from Perry, Perry Center, Castile, Silver Springs, Leicester and Mt. Morris were on scene along with Perry ambulance for about 3 hours.

Also assisting in scene, Wyoming County Emergency Services, Perry Police and NYSEG.
