The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a female who stated that Adam P. Valentine, 42, of Perry was harassing her and throwing items on the lawn on August 16, 2021 at 4:45a.m.
Deputy Previty arrived on location and investigated a domestic incident. Valentine allegedly pushed the victim and was yelling obscenities at her. An order of protection check located an active refrain from order in effect. Valentine’s actions during this incident violated the stipulations of that order.
Valentine was arrested and charged with harassment 2nd and criminal contempt 2nd.
He was arraigned in the Town of Warsaw Court and committed to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond/bail. A complete stay away order of protection was issued. Valentine is to appear in the Town of Perry Court at a later date.
On August 13, 2021 at approximately 9:23p.m., a deputy from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Perry after observing a violation of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
Upon speaking with the operator of the vehicle, Alexis Knights, 46, of Hyde Park, Massachusetts, the deputy began to observe signs of possible impairment. Knights was asked to submit to field sobriety testing, where he performed poorly and exhibited signs indicative of impairment.
Knights was arrested and transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office to undergo a Drug Influence Evaluation with a certified Drug Recognition Expert. Following the evaluation, it was the DRE’s opinion that Knights was impaired by drugs, and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Knights was charged with DWAI/drugs, speed in zone and consumption of marijuana in a motor vehicle. He was processed and released with an appearance ticket, with a future court date in the Town of Perry Court.
