Dean M. Conboy Sr., 56, of Darien, is facing an 11 count indictment after a domestic incident on June 11, 2021 in Darien.
Conboy Sr. allegedly menaced another person with a butcher knife and attempted to cause physical injury, resulting in the victim barricading themselves in a bedroom.
Conboy Sr. then allegedly attempted to cause serious physical injury to deputies on scene by placing them in reasonable fear of physical injury, serious physical injury and death, when he grabbed and armed himself with a butcher knife while deputies were struggling to take Conboy Sr. into custody.
Conboy Sr. has been indicted on two counts of aggravated assault upon a police officer, a class C violent felony, two counts of menacing a police officer, a class D violent felony, attempted assault 2nd, a class D felony, unlawful imprisonment 1st degree, a class E felony, three counts of criminal possession of weapon 4th,a class A misdemeanor, resisting arrest, a class misdemeanor and menacing 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor.
He is currently being held at the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, $40,000 bond bail and $60,000 partially secured bond.
