Six fire companies responded to 30 Gouinlock street in the Village of Warsaw late Wednesday evening, after flames were reported coming from the home about 11:34p.m.
According to Wyoming County Office of Emergency Management Services, the residence, owned by Rebecca Sikes, was located on a dead end street. A neighbor discovered the fire and called 911.
No one was home at the time of the fire and no one was injured.
The home is considered a total loss and the fire is under investigation.
Fire crews from Warsaw, Silver Springs, Gainesville, Wyoming, Perry and Wyoming Correctional responded to the scene along with Wyoming County Emergency Management, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, Warsaw Police and NYSEG. Fire crews were on scene for about 5 hours.
My heart is breaking for Rebecca Sikes. She’s my sister and BFF.
She lost everything and just had major surgery.
She needs everything replaced, And a place to live with her sweet pup.
Please folks let’s everyone step up and help my sister in anyway we can.
I wish I lived closer to her but I don’t.

I have a huge favor to ask of you and all who read the Story Of Rebecca Sikes House Fire in Warsaw on September 26th., 2021.
She’s my bff & sister. She has lost everything she ever owned in that horrific house fire and has no funds to replace her home, or any contents that were in, clothes for herself, food for herself or her puppy. She is completely traumatized by her fire.
Can you please pass her story on to organizations that can step up to assist her in starting over perhaps the Red Cross or whom ever can assist her. Plus please pass this story onto different organizations within the community that will step up to the plate and assist her with her needs.
When this fire took place she was recovering from major surgery either in the hospital or at her mothers home. So consequently the trauma of the fire has been multiplied 10 fold and more due to her surgery and the fire.
She’s, not one to come to anyone and ask for help. So I’m asking for her. Please I’m asking for my distrr/bff who’s a wonderful, sweet, loving, kind, beautiful woman who I love so much for you to pass this on to those who can help her start her life over from scratch. She had absolutely nothing to start over with unfortunately.
If I could I’d help her myself but I live in Little Falls, NY. Plus on Sept. 27th. I’m going in the hospital for major surgery so I’m not in the greatest health right now.
