Carrie A. Clay, 27, of Albion, is charged with assault 2nd, a class D felony, burglary 2nd, a class C felony, and criminal mischief 4th, after a domestic incident that occurred in the town of Byron on September 25, 2021 at 7:28a.m.
Clay allegedly attacked another person with a hammer. After being thrown out of the residence, and then breaking back in, she attempted to attack the same person a second time.
The victim sustained minor injury and denied EMS assistance.
Clay turned herself in on an arrest warrant at the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office on September 29, 2021.
She was arraigned in Stafford Town Court and is being held on $5,000 cash bail. Clay is scheduled to appear in Byron Town Court on October 4, 2021 at 5:00p.m.
