WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Two women charged after using stolen credit card

Two women were arrested following an investigation into fraudulent charges on a stolen credit card. Following the investigation, it was determined that Mindy M. Brown, 42, of Silver Springs, had allegedly stolen a wallet containing a credit card at a location on Route 19 in the Town of Warsaw on October 16, 2021.

Brown made two fraudulent transactions with the credit card on October 16, 2021 at the Warsaw McDonald’s Restaurant. Brown then allegedly gave the credit card to Robin M. Mitchell, 39, of Warsaw, who then also allegedly made two fraudulent transactions at the Warsaw C-Store and one fraudulent transaction at the Kwik Fill in Warsaw, also on October 16, 2021.

Brown was arrested on October 27, 2021 and is charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, and two counts of petit larceny. Brown was processed at the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where she was issued an appearance ticket in compliance with NYS Bail Reform.

Mitchell, who was currently incarcerated on non-related charges in the Wyoming County Jail, was also arrested on October 27, 2021. Mitchell is charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree and three counts of petit larceny. Mitchell was issued an appearance ticket in compliance with NYS Bail Reform.

Both offenders are scheduled to answer the charges on November 8, 2021 at 2:00PM in the Town of Warsaw Court.

Following a traffic stop on Buffalo Road on October 25, 2021, for failure to stop from driveway, and driver’s view obstructed, David F. Warne, 72, of Warsaw, is charged with DWI after failing field sobriety tests.

Warne was transported to the hospital where a blood draw was completed pending laboratory results. Warne was subsequently charged with felony DWI, after having a conviction for DWI earlier this year, failure to stop from driveway, driver’s view obstructed and aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, after it was discovered that Warne had one active suspension on his New York State License.

Warne was admitted to the hospital and issued an appearance ticket with a return court date of November 8, 2021 at 2:00PM in the Town of Warsaw Court.
