Due to the Pandemic, the 25th Anniversary event could not be held last year, Underwood says this year is the group’s 26th year assisting local patients.

“Cancer is one of those things that touches it seems like everybody’s lives, over many years, our office has seen the great work that Genesee Cancer Assistance does in our local community, so we really wanted to, especially on this special milestone, support them and keep advancing the mission and all the great work that they do,” says Cal Klemmer/ Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch.

The large donation will help Genesee Cancer Assistance continue to help those who are diagnosed with cancer in Genesee County.

“This amount of money will do phenomenal things for us, because fundraising has been limited. We offer $600 for every patient, so if you do the math, that is a lot of patients that we are able to take care of here locally,” says Sue Underhill, Executive Director of Genesee Cancer Assistance.
