The Batavia Blue Devils will get another chance at Honeoye Falls- Lima next week after both teams easily defeated their competition. HFL outscored Dansville 40-18, while Batavia buried Wayne 60-21.
Aiden Anderson made it to the endzone three times in the first half along with Carter McFollins and the score at the half was 28-14. Wayne(3) was able to keep pace with the Blue Devils(2) in scoring until midway through the second quarter, when they failed to move the ball out of their end of the field.
Next week, Batavia will face the the #1 seed HFL at 6:00pm, Saturday, November 13th, at Pittsford Sutherland High School .
OAE(#1 seed) easily defeated Caledonia/Mumford Byron Bergen(#5 seed) during their semi-final matchup at Oakfield/Alabama High School on Friday night, 54-20.
At the half, the score was 40-6. The Raiders started the second half with a good drive to the Aggies endzone, but quarterback Kyle Wade had his pass intercepted in the red zone by Kameron Cusmano, which lead to an 80 yard touchdown run by Noah Currier to make the score 46-6.
Later in the third quarter, Wade had a pass drop to the ground in the backfield that was scooped up by Connor Scott and run into the endzone to make the score 53-6. In the fourth quarter, CMBB got their run game going with Robert Poles-Harrison carrying the mail to make it 54-12.
The following possession, Jacob Cappotelli joined in to score six more and the score was 54-18, with Poles-Harrison adding 2 points to make it 54-20. OAE will meet the #2 seed, Avon, in the Class D Sectional Final on Friday November 12th at 7:00pm at Van Detta Stadium. Avon defeated #3 seed, Alexander, 13-7 on Friday evening.
