GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Byron man wanted on a warrant for bail jumping, arrested on a second bail jumping charge

Alexander D. Scheg, 27, of Byron, who was a front seat passenger in a vehicle involved in a police pursuit on Monday, was arrested on an arrest warrant out of City Court for bail jumping on December 2, 2021 and was arraigned in front of Judge Rogers in City Court, with bail set at $4,000. Scheg failed to appear in City Court on September 13, 2021.

On December 3, 2021, Scheg was arrested for bail jumping once more after failing to show for another court appearance on November 1, 2021 in Byron Town Court, and failed to turn himself in within 30 days thereafter. Scheg was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Town of Byron Court on December 6, 2021.

John K. Hobbs, 34, of Batavia, is charged with burglary 2nd and violating an order of protection, after showing up at the home of the protected party and entering the home in violation of an order of protection on November 24, 2021 at 1:10p.m.

Hobbs then fled the home on foot before deputies arrived.

K-9 Rayzor arrived on scene with handler Deputy Stack and located Hobbs in the woods south of the residence.
