WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Rollover accident involving a truck/tanker in Eagle

On December 11, 2021 at 1:24a.m., the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a rollover accident involving a tractor/tanker combination in the Town of Eagle.

Upon arrival, it was determined that driver, William J. Kemp, of Bliss, no age provided, was headed east on Rt. 39, near Rt. 362, when he left the south shoulder, overcorrected and caused the truck to overturn. The truck/tanker rolled onto its passenger side.

Kemp was uninjured in the accident.

The tanker contained milk and a small amount of milk and oil leaked from the truck. The Bliss Fire Department was then dispatched to the scene.

The following agencies also responded to the scene to assist: Wyoming County Emergency Response Team, Wyoming County Emergency Services and NYS DEC Spill Response. The truck was removed by T&R Towing. T&R also handled cleanup of the scene.

Jacqueline M. Wood, 25, of Perry, was arrested following a traffic stop on Rt. 20A in the Town of Orangeville on December 10, 2021.

Wood was stopped for a speeding infraction, and during the stop her vehicle was found to be suspended for having no vehicle insurance. Wood’s vehicle was towed from the scene, and Wood was issued an appearance ticket for speed over 55MPH, operating without Insurance, and operating on a suspended registration.

Wood is scheduled to answer the charges in the Town of Orangeville Court on December 29, 2021.
