Eight fire companies responded to a barn fire at Perry’s Lower Farm at 643 Armbrust road in the town of Sheldon on Friday.
Fire crews from Sheldon, Strykersville, Arcade, Harris Corners, Bennington, North Java, Wales Center and Holland responded and were on scene for about 7 hours.
According to the Wyoming County Office of Emergency Services, two connecting barns with multiple items stored inside were destroyed in the blaze. Estimated damage is $375,000.
No one was injured and no animals were kept inside the barns.
Also assisting on scene, Wyoming County Emergency Services, Wyoming County Sheriff’s, Sheldon and Strykersville Squad-10, Wyoming Correctional facility and NYSEG.
