On January 13, 2022 at approximately 4:14 PM, a deputy from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 63 in the Town of Covington after observing a vehicle traveling without license plates.
The operator of the vehicle identified himself as Christopher Lopez, 25, of Bronx, NY. Lopez was found to have 15 total suspensions on his NYS driver’s license. Additionally, Lopez exhibited signs of possible impairment and was asked to submit to standardized field sobriety testing. Lopez performed poorly on the testing and was transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, where a Drug Recognition Expert was present to perform a Drug Influence Evaluation. At the conclusion of the evaluation, it was the Drug Recognition Expert’s opinion that Lopez was impaired by a combination of drugs and unable to operate a vehicle safely.
LOPEZ is charged with DWAI/drugs, DWAI/drugs combo, aggravated unlicensed operation 1st degree, no/improper plate, tint violation and was issued an appearance ticket and released to a sober third party.

A property damage accident investigation on Route 20A in the Town of Sheldon on January 13, 2022, resulted in the arrest of owner/operator Bienvenu A. Kilicho, 49, of Rochester NY, for aggravated DWI.
Upon the deputy’s arrival, Kilicho was suspected of operating his motor vehicle while intoxicated after general indicators of impairment were present. Kilicho submitted to field sobriety testing in which he failed and was immediately taken into custody for DWI.
Kilicho was transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where he submitted to a chemical test that resulted in a BAC of .18% or above.
Kilicho is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more, aggravated DWI, driving with a BAC of .18% or more, moving from a lane unsafely, failure to keep right, and speed not reasonable or prudent. Kilicho was issued appearance tickets and will appear in Sheldon Town Court on January 31, 2022.
