The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a one car motor vehicle accident that occurred on Rt. 77 near Indian Falls road in the Town of Pembroke early Saturday morning.
The Genesee County 9-1-1 Dispatch Center received a call for a motor vehicle accident with a vehicle into a utility pole about 3:05a.m. When patrols arrived on scene, it was determined that the driver and sole occupant was deceased.
The driver was identified as Jordan E. Terkel, 32, of Corfu. NY.
Investigators say Terkel was traveling south on RT. 77 in the town of Pembroke when his vehicle traveled off the east shoulder of the roadway, striking a utility pole. Coroner Karen Lang pronounced Terkel dead at the scene, after succumbing to injuries sustained in the crash.
Assisting the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office on scene were members of the Pembroke and Indian Falls Fire Departments.
