Arrests

Endangering the welfare of a child; Assault 3rd, 8:35 PM, Sunday, February 20, 2022, Elm St. – On February 20, 2022, Victoria L. JACQUES, F/52 of Batavia, NY, was arrested for Endangering the welfare of a child and Assault in the 3rd degree following a domestic incident.  JACQUES was arraigned in front of Judge BURNS of Batavia City Court, who released JACQUES under supervision with a return court date of March 10, 2022, at 3:30 PM in Batavia City Court.  

Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd – Bomb/Silencer/Machine Gun; Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd – Previous Conviction, 5:03 AM, Tuesday, August 17, 2021, Oak St. – Jeremiah D. WILLIAMS, M/30, of Batavia, NY, was arrested for the above listed charges after he was found to be in possession of a fully automatic firearm (handgun). WILLIAMS was remanded to the Genesee County Jail with no bail being set. A return court date was not scheduled for WILLIAMS.  

Harassment 2nd, 3:36 AM, Friday, February 18, 2022, North St. – Loretta L. BAER, F/50 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on February 18, 2022, for the listed charge following a disturbance at UMMC. BAER is alleged to have charged at the victim and placed her hands around their neck. BAER was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Batavia City Court on March 1, 2022, at 1:00 PM, and released.    

Tampering With a Witness 4th Degree, 1:40 PM, Sunday, February 6, 2022, E. Main St. – Jeremiah T. JONES, M/48, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above listed charge following an investigation into an incident where he allegedly threatened another individual who was to testify in a court proceeding. JONES was arraigned in Batavia City Court, released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to re-appear in Batavia City Court on March 1, 2022.  

Bench Warrant, 1:32 PM, Saturday, January 16, 2021, W. Main St. – On 2/19/2022, Officer POST arrested Janell M. SAUER, F/46 of Batavia, NY, on an active bench warrant for Petit Larceny out of Batavia City Court. SAUER was arraigned in front of Judge ROGERS, who released SAUER under the supervision of Genesee Justice. SAUER is scheduled to re-appear in Batavia City Court on February 22, 2022, at 3:30 PM.  

Criminal Tampering 3rd Degree, 7:19 AM, Thursday, February 17, 2022, Washington Ave. – Melody J. MCMASTER, F/51, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above listed charge following an investigation into suspicious behavior at a business on State Street. It is alleged that MCMASTER removed fire extinguishers from their designated locations. MCMASTER was arraigned in front of Judge Burns and released on her own recognizance. MCMASTER is scheduled to return to court on March 3, 2022, at 1:30 PM.
