Jerry T. Saddler, 45, of Batavia, a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped on East avenue in the City of Batavia on February 16, 2022, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 4th degree, criminal possession of controlled substance 7th degree, tampering with physical evidence and obstructing governmental administration 2nd degree, during a traffic stop.
During an investigation, Deputy Stack and his K-9 partner Rayzor alerted deputies to the presence of narcotics inside of the vehicle. Saddler allegedly was in possession of narcotics which he attempted to conceal while at the Genesee County Jail. He was arraigned by Judge Rogers in Batavia City Court and held without bail.
The driver of the vehicle, Garlyn M. Gause, 42, of Rochester, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree, insufficient turn signal/less than 100 feet, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle during the traffic stop.
Gause was allegedly in possession of narcotics and was released with an appearance ticket. He will appear in City Court on March 2, 2022, at 9:00a.m.
