Soliciting alms on a public street or public place, 12:30 PM, Friday, March 18, 2022, Ellicott St. – Nancy L. LAWRENCE, F/69 of Batavia, NY, was arrested for the above listed charge following an investigation of soliciting alms in a local businesses parking lot. Lawrence was issued an appearance ticket and released. Lawrence is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 4/5/2022 at 1:00 PM. Case closed with the arrest of Lawrence.
Bench Warrant, 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 24, 2022, W. Main St. – On March 20, 2022, Adam E. BORTLE, M/38 of Wayland, NY, was arrested on a bench warrant out of Batavia City Court. Bortle was arraigned in front of Judge Rogers in Batavia City Court and released to appear in Batavia City Court on March 24, 2022, at 1:30 PM.
Harassment 2nd Degree, 11:22 PM, Wednesday, March 23, 2022, N. Spruce St. – NaQuan J. SHEPARD, M/22, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on March 23, 2022, for the listed charge following a disturbance at an apartment complex. Shepard is alleged to have thrown a cardboard box at someone during a dispute. Shepard was issued appearance ticket returnable to Batavia City Court on March 29, 2022, at 1:00 PM and released.
Grand Larceny 4th Degree, 2:40 PM, Tuesday, March 22, 2022, Ellicott St. – On March 22, 2022, Curtis WILLIAMS, M/55, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on a charge of Grand Larceny 4th Degree. Wiliams allegedly was discovered to have taken in excess of $1,000 from his employer over an extended period of time. Williams was processed and issued an appearance ticket returnable to Batavia City Court on April 12, 2022, at 1:00 PM.
Petit Larceny, 11:49 AM, Friday, March 18, 2022, W. Main St. Rd. – On March 18, 2022, Erik R. MOTQUIN, M/29 of Batavia, NY, was arrested after an investigation into a larceny that took place at a local business. It is alleged that Motquin attempted to exit the store with $316.03 worth of unpaid merchandise. Motquin was arrested and issued an appearance ticket to appear in City Court at a later date.
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, 4:18 AM, Thursday, March 17, 2022, Gateway Dr. – Kiha S. MCNEAR, M/24, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above listed charge outside of Park Site Manor on East Main street. The charge stemmed from a traffic stop investigation on March 13, 2022, where McNear was found to be in possession of an illegal substance. McNear was transported to the Genesee County Jail prior to arraignment. McNear was arraigned with Judge Rogers presiding and was held without bail. He is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on April 7, 2022, at 1:30 PM. McNear was transported to the Genesee County Jail where he was held.
