GENESEE COUNTY/”National Vietnam Veterans Day” ceremony in LeRoy recognizing those who served

The American Legion Botts-Fiorito Post #576 recognized veterans who served in the U.S. Military during the Vietnam War late Tuesday afternoon, with a brief ceremony at the Post.

Commander David Rumsey led the ceremony with assistance from Post Adjutant Jerry Diskin, Post #576 in LeRoy has held a National Vietnam Veterans Day ceremony since 2017.

Video of wreath laying for Harry L. VanAlst Jr. who was killed in action during the Vietnam War. Some members of the LeRoy Class of 1965 gathered at the monument in front of Wolcott School with classmate Carol Queal to remember their fallen friend.
