On Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. the New York State Police will be hosting an event at the Recruitment Center in the Walden Galleria Mall. The deadline to register for the NYSP Exam is April 10, 2022.
Troopers will be available to talk about the ongoing NYSP entrance exam including, Trooper Dominic M. Cianfrini, who just graduated from the NYSP 210th Academy on March 21, 2022. Trooper Cianfrini is a WNY native and throughout the Academy training program, he achieved an outstanding overall academic average of 96.35%, getting the Academic Achievement Award.
*Enter through the Cheesecake Factory entrance and the NYSP Recruitment Center is across from Dave & Busters.
Currently, the New York State Police has approximately 4,800 sworn members.
The State Police have contracted with Pearson VUE to offer the Trooper Entrance Exam on computer at 54 testing centers in New York State, more than 250 locations in the United States, and 112 military locations around the world. Candidates will be able to choose where and when they take the exam.
Exam Qualifications:
US Citizen
- 20-29 years of age (The maximum age may be extended one year for each year of full-time active military duty – up to a maximum of 7 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent
