GENESEE COUNTY/Batavia/Three achieve Eagle Scout with Troop 6006

Boy Scout Troop 6006 held their Court of Honor for three young men who achieved Eagle Scout this past year. Luke Geiger(11 years), Nicholas Grover(9 years) and Aidan Clark(11 years), all of Batavia, started in Boy Scouts Troop 6006 at the same time.

According to Troop Guest Speaker Steve Ognibene, to achieve Eagle Scout, the candidate must possess knowledge of teamwork and skills to bring the best out in people, ability to lead by example, not by orders, be a master of listening and communication skills, have a powerful code of conduct, unshakeable confidence, and the ability to lead well and follow even better.

Luke Geiger’s Eagle Project involved assisting Northgate Free Methodist Church in creating a Prayer Trail behind their location on Bank street road in Batavia.

Nicholas Grover’s Eagle Project involved creating a walking path and adding benches to a pond area on Galloway road in the Town of Batavia.

Aidan Clark’s Eagle Project involved assisting St. Joseph’s Church/Resurrection Parish in refurbishing, painting and repairing the seven concrete pillars and 424 feet of wrought iron fencing on Harvester avenue.
