LEROY POLICE REPORT/LeRoy man charged after slashing tires

Nathan J. Dempsey, 24, of LeRoy, is charged with harassment 2nd degree and criminal mischief 3rd degree, a class E felony, after allegedly slashing tires on two cars on Lake street on May 5, 2022 at 1:12a.m.

Dempsey was arraigned in LeRoy Town Court and an order of protection was issued. He was released on his own recognizance and will re-appear in court on May 19, 2022.


Matthew A. McCracken, 38, of LeRoy, is charged with harassment 2nd after a harassment complaint on May 4, 2022 on Clay street.

McCracken was arraigned in LeRoy Town Court and an order of protection was issued. He was released on his own recognizance. He is due back in LeRoy Town Court on May 19, 2022.

Johnna H. Porter, 36, of LeRoy, is charged with petit larceny after a shoplifting complaint at 112 West Main street, Tops Supermarket on May 3, 2022 at 10:00a.m.

Porter allegedly stole merchandise totaling $117 from the store.

Porter was arrested and released with an appearance ticket for LeRoy Town Court where she will appear June 16, 2022 at 1:00p.m..
