GENESEE COUNTY/Indictments

A Genesee County Grand Jury has indicted Adam E. Bortle, who is accused of the crime of promoting prison contraband first degree, a class D felony and three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor. Bortle is accused of knowingly and unlawfully introducing dangerous contraband, narcotics, alprazolam, fentanyl and cocaine at the Genesee County Jail on March 20, 2022.

Gerard H. Altenburg has been indicted and is accused of felony DWI, aggravated driving while intoxicated PER SE, with a BAC of .18% or more, a class E felony and reckless driving, a class A misdemeanor. Altenburg is accused of driving a 2006 Dodge on Route 5 in the Town of Pembroke while intoxicated on December 1, 2021. He was previously convicted of DWI in the Town of Pembroke in June of 2016. This conviction was within 10 years previous to the commission of the crimes alleged in the current indictment.

Eric T. McGrain has been indicted and is accused of felony DWI.  He is accused of driving a 2019 Chevrolet on January 8, 2022, on College Drive in the Town of Batavia while allegedly in an intoxicated condition. McGrain was previously convicted of DWI in June of 2012 in the Town of Greece. This conviction was within 10 years previous to the commission of the crime alleged in count one of the current indictment, DWI.

Marcella F. Greene has been indicted and is accused of criminal possession of a controlled substance third degree, a class B felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor. Greene is accused of knowingly and unlawfully possessing cocaine, one half ounce or more and a quantity of fentanyl on December 21, 2021, in the Town of Batavia.
