BATAVIA POLICE BLOTTER/May 30, 2022

On May 12, 2022, Jonathan P. LITTLE, AKA “Bless,” M/32 of Batavia, NY, was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, criminal possession of a controlled substance 4th, resisting arrest, and criminal impersonation 2nd. It is alleged that Little was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for driving violations. While investigating the traffic stop, it was determined that the passenger, Little, was providing a false name. Police were able to determine that Little had several outstanding warrants out of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office. When officers attempted to place Little under arrest, he began to pull away and take off on foot, leading police on a short foot pursuit. Little was quickly subdued and taken into custody. While the police searched Little’s person, several bags of cocaine were located. He was arrested and transported to the Genesee County Jail to await arraignment. City of Batavia Police officers were assisted by the Genesee County Drug Task Force on this arrest.

On May 17, 2022, Thomas J. WOLCOTT, M/38 of Batavia, NY, was arrested for criminal contempt 1st, after allegedly violating an order of protection. Wolcott was arraigned in Batavia City Court and was held on $10,000 bail. Wolcott will re-appear in Batavia City Court on June 8, 2022.

On May 13, 2022, John L. SMITH, M/47 of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with felony aggravated DWI, driving with a BAC of .18% or more, felony DWI and speeding in a zone following a traffic stop on N. Lyon street. Smith was allegedly found to be operating his vehicle while intoxicated and was released on appearance tickets. He appeared in Batavia City Court on May 24, 2022.
