The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a series of gunshots being fired at several residences in the Town of Bethany during the evening of Saturday June 4th about 9:00p.m., into the early morning hours of Sunday June 5th, 2022.
The incidents occurred on Bethany Center road between Mayne road and Raymond road. The incidents appear to be isolated and random in nature, with no known motive for a targeted attack. There were no injuries reported in the incidents.
Investigators are looking for a two-door dark blue car with a loud exhaust as it was observed driving up and down the roadway at about 8:30p.m. on June 4th.

Delonta Rashid Sharif Curry, 21, of Batavia, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more and a speeding violation, exceeding 55mph, after a traffic stop on Rt. 33 in Bergen for a violation of vehicle and traffic law on June 1, 2022, at 12:06a.m.
Curry was transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing and released on appearance tickets. Curry will appear in Bergen Town Court on June 22, 2022, at 3:00p.m.
