BATAVIA/Almost $4,000 raised for local charities through Mr. Batavia event at Batavia High School

(Provided information)

Mr. Batavia 2022 was back in the Frank Owen Auditorium at Batavia High School on May 20, 2022, for the first time since 2019.

Through ticket sales and donations, almost $4,000 was raised. Since 2013, Mr. Batavia has raised $32,719.50 for local charities. This is a student-run event and a way for our students to give back to the community.

“My little sister was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis when she was 10 years old, she has it in about 20 of her joints now, so it has been an obstacle for my family and I to overcome,” says Noah Burke, First Place winner of Mr. Batavia.

“She has been going through a lot and it has made us grow as a family and it’s great to be able to give back to the foundation for all that they have done for us.”
