PERRY POLICE REPORT/Rochester woman facing charges after a traffic stop

PERRY, NY- Chief Michael J. Grover reports the arrest of a Rochester resident on several charges following an investigation by the Perry Police Department.

On June 17, 2022, at approximately 7:23p.m., Officer Spencer Kramell conducted a traffic stop at Kwik Fill
located at 175 South Main Street for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Upon interacting with the suspect,
31-year-old Vanessa Lopez from Rochester, New York, Officer Kramell found Lopez’s NY license to be
suspended.
Officer Kramell, with the assistance of Officer David Spink, conducted a search of Lopez’s vehicle and
approximately 3 pounds of marijuana was allegedly discovered. Also allegedly found within the vehicle was approximately 50 cookies/brownies containing marijuana (edibles), marijuana seeds, approximately 2,500 dollars in cash, and other drug paraphernalia.

Lopez was transported to the Perry Police Department where she was further interviewed and processed.

She is charged with criminal possession of cannabis 3rd/more than 16 ounces, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, unlicensed driver and speeding in a zone.

Lopez was released on her own recognizance per NYS Bail Reform laws and is to appear in Perry Village Court on 08/02/2022.

PERRY, NY- Chief Michael J. Grover reports the arrest of a Nashville, Tennessee resident on charges following an investigation by the Perry Police Department.

On June 18th, 2022, at approximately 10:23p.m. Officer Spencer Kramell conducted a traffic stop on South
Main Street for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Upon interacting with the suspect, 49-year-old Robert C.
Harmon, from Nashville, Tennessee, Officer Kramell suspected Harmon may be intoxicated.

Officer Kramell requested Harmon submit to standardized field sobriety tests, which he complied. Harmon did not perform the tests as instructed and was subsequently arrested for DWI.
He was processed at the Perry Police Department where he was asked to submit to a chemical breath test to determine his blood alcohol content (BAC), however, Harmon refused the test. As a result, Harmon was arraigned before Judge Charles Miller in Perry Village Court where his driving privilege in New York State was immediately suspended.

He is charged with DWI/common law and failure to dim headlights.

After processing and arraignment, Harmon was released to a sober third party per NYS Bail Reform laws and is to appear in Perry Village Court on 08/02/2022.
