GENESEE COUNTY/Trio from Rochester charged after stolen disabled vehicle located in Stafford

On June 29, 2022, Sgt. Mathew Clor located a disabled black Honda Civic on Clinton street road in the Town of Stafford. The vehicle was stolen during a strong-armed robbery in the City of Rochester on the morning of June 28, 2022.

Deputy David Moore then also responded to assist with detaining the driver of the vehicle, James N. Johnson, 54, and two passengers, Agnes M. Baugh, 22, and Maurice D. Bishop, 36.

Johnson was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol and was charged with DWI, open alcohol container in a motor vehicle, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd and criminal possession of stolen property, a felony. He was arraigned in Stafford Town Court and held without bail due to having 3 prior felony convictions.

Baugh was allegedly in possession of a pair of brass knuckles and was charged with criminal possession of weapon 4th degree.

All three subjects were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th for two crack pipes that were allegedly located in the vehicle with alleged drug residue still inside them.

Baugh and Bishop were issued appearance tickets and will appear in Stafford Town Court at a later date.
