WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Buffalo woman in reported stolen vehicle charged after pursuit

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office arrested Uneek R. Glenn,19, of Buffalo, NY, following a vehicle pursuit of a recently stolen vehicle on July 1, 2022.

Deputies patrolling in the hamlet of Perry Center observed a vehicle travelling at 62 MPH in a 40 MPH speed zone and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle refused to pull over. A registration check found the vehicle had just been reported stolen from Erie County and had been involved in a recent pursuit there as well.

The pursuit ended in the Town of Mt. Morris when spike strips were deployed by the Mt. Morris Police Department, stopping the suspect vehicle safely.

Glenn is charged with unlawful fleeing police officer 3rd, failing to comply with a lawful order, reckless driving, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, speeding in zone and speeding in a 55 MPH speed zone.

Glenn was arraigned in front of Judge Bogart in the Town of Perry and released on her own recognizance. She will return to court on September 7, 2022.

Following a traffic stop for a speeding violation (70/55) on Route 77 in the Town of Sheldon on June 29, 2022, Dylan C. Helenbrook, 27, of Corfu, NY, is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and speed over 55MPH in a zone.

Deputies say Helenbrook has a suspended license for failure to pay a driver responsibility assessment fee and failure to answer a summons out of the Town of Newstead.

Helenbrook was processed roadside and issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Sheldon on 07/11/22.

Ronald A. Townsend, 70, of Wyoming, NY, was arrested following a traffic stop on Saltvale road in the Town of Middlebury on July 2, 2022.

Townsend was stopped by Sheriff’s deputies after he was observed driving his tractor from Tops Friendly Markets in the Town of Warsaw back to his residence in Wyoming, NY. Townsend was known to have a revoked driver’s license and utilizing the tractor as a means of transportation with a revoked driver’s license is illegal.

Townsend was issued an appearance ticket on the charge of aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree and is scheduled to answer the charge in Middlebury Town Court on July 11, 2022.

A traffic complaint of a white Subaru Legacy passing vehicles on a double solid line, traveling southbound on Route 77 near Schwab Road in the Town of Sheldon, led to the arrest of Brandon P. Newell, 27, of Gowanda, NY.

Deputies located the vehicle on Route 98 near Chaffee Road in the Town of Java, where it was observed
driving over the white hazard markings multiple times.

A traffic stop was conducted, and Newell was allegedly displaying general indicators of intoxication. Newell submitted to field sobriety testing and failed. As a result, he was arrested for DWI and submitted to a breath test.

He is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC if .08% or more, and driving across hazard markings.
Newell was processed and released with an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Java Court on 07/20/22.
