The City of Batavia Police Department reports that Devon A. Wright has been taken into custody, without incident, in Lockport NY on Friday, July 8th, 2022.
Wright had four active warrants; Bench Warrant – Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, Assault in the 3rd degree, Attempted Assault in the 1st degree, Criminal Sexual Act in the 1st degree, Arrest Warrant – Harassment 2nd – Physical Contact, Criminal Tampering 3rd Arrest Warrant – Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd – failed to appear on an appearance ticket. Bench Warrant – Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd.
Wright was transported to Genesee County Court where he was arraigned before Judge Lightcap-Cianfrini and remanded to the Genesee County Jail with no bail.
Wright is scheduled to re-appear in court on 07/11/2022.
