(Wyoming, NY) – Rockstock is a three-day multi-musical genre festival being held August 18-20 at the Brooksholm Wedding Barn and Events Center, 565 Pavilion-Warsaw Road (Route 19) in Wyoming. The event started as a party five years ago and was so successful – it has grown into an annual fundraiser – featuring rock & roll, blues, southern rock, and country performers. Festival tickets, including overnight camping, are available at www.rockstocknewyork.com. Weekend passes are available with and without camping.
The schedule of events are:
· August 18 music starts at 6 pm.
· August 19 music starts at 3 pm.
· August 20 music starts at noon.
· August 21 no music, just wrap-up camping until noon.
Rockstock proceeds will benefit the Rockstock Youth Musicians Fund and help fund education and lessons for young musicians in Western New York. There are many great music schools and programs in the region available outside the public-school system for young artists. This funding is designed to assist them with programs, camps, and lessons that wouldn’t be available otherwise.
“Rockstock is the perfect way to spend the weekend listening to the best local and touring artists,” said Jodi Teed, Rockstock Organizer. “This event is a fantastic way to show support to young musicians that will be filling those same spots someday of the artists who will be playing. Bring your friends for a day, bring an RV or tent, and come for the weekend. We’ll have vendors, a stocked bar, and food trucks serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night food, so you won’t miss a thing. Take this opportunity to enjoy great music, delicious food, Brooksholm’s beautiful property, all while making a difference in young musicians’ lives through the Rockstock Youth Musicians Fund.”
“We are extremely excited to welcome so much musical talent to our community,” said Eric Szucs, Director of Tourism for Wyoming County. “Jodi and her team, in collaboration with Brooksholm Event Center are putting on an incredible show, where you can overnight, enjoy food trucks and more. We want to see these kinds of festivals multiply and flourish here, because we have so many beautiful properties, and what’s more fun than live music on a perfect summer night!”
