The Genesee County Comprehensive Fire & Emergency Medical Service Implementation Plan was prepared by Municipal Resource, Inc. (MRI), who were contracted by the County of Genesee to assess the fire and EMS services within the county. The process of creating the plan started in 2020 and it was completed in July of 2022. The cost to create the implementation plan was about $109,000. Parts of the plan will take 1-3 years to implement, and other portions are on a 5–7-year timetable.
