GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Stafford man allegedly falls asleep at traffic light in LeRoy

On August 15, 2022, at 12:04a.m., Michael T. VanHouter, 32, of Stafford, NY, was arrested for DWI after being discovered by a deputy sitting at a traffic light at Rt. 19 and Rt. 5. VanHouter allegedly fell asleep at the wheel while waiting for the traffic light to change.

After an investigation, it was determined that VanHouter was allegedly intoxicated by alcohol.

He is charged with felony DWI/previous conviction within 10 years and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway. VanHouter was transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing and released with appearance tickets. He will appear in the Village of LeRoy Court on September 15, 2022, at 5:00p.m.

Justin M. Davis, 31, of Rochester, NY, is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 1st degree, felony DWI/previous conviction within 10 years, felony driving with a BAC of .08% or more/previous conviction within 10 years, use of leased/rented loaned vehicle without an interlock device and no insufficient tail lamps on Clinton street road in Bergen on August 11, 2022, at 11:45p.m.

Davis was transported to the Genesee County Jail where he was processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable to Bergen Town Court on October 5, 2022, at 5:00p.m.
