BATAVIA POLICE BLOTTER/Man facing assault charge after argument over beer

 

Arrests

Assault 2nd, 7:31 PM, Saturday, August 13, 2022, Mill St. – On 8/13/2022, Officer POST arrested Kevin J. WEBER, M/51, of Batavia, NY, for assault in the second degree after he allegedly beat up a housemate during an argument over beer. WEBER was arraigned in front of Judge Burns who remanded WEBER to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of bail. WEBER was scheduled to re-appear in Batavia City Court on 8/18/2022 at 1:00 PM.  

Harassment 2nd, 6:51 AM, Saturday, August 13, 2022, E. Main St. – On 8/15/2022, at approximately 2:40 PM, Nakita N. SHOOK, F/36, of Batavia NY, was arrested following a disturbance at 316 E. Main St. where SHOOK allegedly punched the victim in the face. SHOOK was arraigned in Batavia City Court by Judge Rogers and is scheduled to return on 9/1/2022 at 1:30 PM.

Driving While intoxicated; DWI – BAC >.08% or more; Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd, 3:30 AM, Saturday, August 13, 2022, Jefferson Ave. – On 8/13/2022, Kenneth S. GRIFFIN JR. M/24, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above listed charge. GRIFFIN JR. was allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated in the area of Jefferson avenue. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due to appear in Batavia City Court on 8/23/2022.  

Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 7th; DWAI-Drugs; Muffler Exhaust System; Broken Glass on windshield, 12:30 AM, Tuesday, August 9, 2022, East Ave. – On 8/15/2022, Kimberly J. GROVER, F/56, of Perry, NY, was arrested for an incident that took place on 6/1/2022. It is alleged that GROVER was operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs on a public highway. During the investigation, it was also found that GROVER allegedly had drug paraphernalia inside of her vehicle. GROVER was issued several uniform traffic tickets and an appearance ticket to report back to Batavia City Court at a later date.  

Harassment 2nd, 7:58 AM, Friday, July 29, 2022, Vine St. – On 8/11/2022, Kimberly A. FOX, F/44 of Vine St. was arrested on a Batavia City Court warrant. FOX allegedly physically harassed another tenant at her multiple dwelling. FOX was arraigned in Batavia City Court in front of Judge Burns. She was released on recognizance and is set to return to court on 9/1/22 at 1:30 PM.  

Criminal Mischief 4th, 4:35 PM, Sunday, August 14, 2022, W. Main St. – On 8/14/2022, Adam B. THOMAS, M/33 of Batavia, NY, was arrested after an investigation into a trespass complaint, where it is alleged that THOMAS refused to exit the property of a business. While City Police were on scene, the complainant stated that THOMAS had ripped off the toilet seat in the women’s bathroom and refused to exit the building. THOMAS was arrested and issued an appearance ticket to report to City Court at a later time.  

Harassment 2nd, 11:38 AM, Sunday, August 14, 2022, E. Main St. – On 8/14/2022, Alicia M. LYONS, F/42, of Batavia, NY, was arrested after an investigation into a harassment complaint, where it is alleged that LYONS kicked another person in the leg causing a minor injury.    

Petit Larceny, 3:40 AM, Saturday, August 13, 2022, W. Main St. – Ericc P. DOLEMAN, M/52 of Corfu, NY, was arrested on 8/13/2022 for the listed charge. It is alleged that DOLEMAN stole a Reese’s snack cake from a local gas station. DOLEMAN was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Batavia City Court on 8/16/2022 at 1:00 PM. 

Failure to Appear, 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 21, 2022, W. Main St. – On 8/12/2022, Andrew A. SEARIGHT, M/35 of Niagara Falls, NY, was arrested on the above listed charge. SEARIGHT failed to appear in court on 6/21/2022. SEARIGHT was arraigned in Batavia City Court and was released under supervision. SEARIGHT is due back in Batavia City Court on 9/7/2022.
