WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Arcade man charged after traffic stop

Following a traffic stop for an uninspected motor vehicle on Liberty street in the Village of Arcade on September 5, 2022, Travis A. Ginnery, 30, of Great Valley, NY is charged with felony DWI.

Deputy Collingridge was on patrol when he observed a vehicle with an expired inspection. The vehicle was stopped, and further investigation showed that the operator, Ginnery, was allegedly showing general indicators of impairment and also allegedly admitted to using methadone earlier that day.

Ginnery submitted to standard field sobriety tests roadside and failed, resulting in Ginnery’s arrest for DWI/drugs. He was transported to the Warsaw Police Department where he then submitted to a DRE evaluation which determined that Ginnery was allegedly impaired by a narcotic analgesic, stimulant, as well as cannabis, and was unable to operate a motor vehicle safely.

Ginnery is charged with DWI/drugs, a class E felony, prior conviction within 10 years, DWI Combination, a class E felony, prior conviction within 10 years, an interlock violation, a misdemeanor, unlicensed operator, uninspected motor vehicle, and insufficient stop lamp.

Ginnery was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in the Village of Arcade Court on 09/22/22 at 03:00p.m. He was then turned over to the New York State Police on an active bench warrant out of the Town of Franklinville for a prior DWI.

Following a traffic complaint of a truck that had struck a mailbox on Route 39 in the Town of Arcade and had left the scene, the operator of the vehicle, Bryan M. Laubacker, 32, of Niagara Falls, NY, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation on the third degree, moving from a lane unsafely, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Laubacker was located in the Village of Arcade shortly after and allegedly admitted to hitting the mailbox after falling asleep while driving. Laubacker was also found to have a suspended license.

He was issued an appearance ticket and is due to appear in the Town of Arcade Court on 09/22/2022. The mailbox sustained minor damages and the owner was notified of the incident.
