Red Cross is assisting three adults after a reported basement fire at 1857 Maxon road in the Town of Bennington on Wednesday afternoon.
Eight fire companies responded to the scene at 5:41p.m. with heavy smoke reported.
According to Wyoming County Office of Emergency Management, the home was a total loss, and the cause is under investigation. The home is owned by Robert and Darcie Koslowski. Fire crews from Varysburg, Attica, North Java, Sheldon, Bennington, Cowlesville, Strykersville and Alexander were on scene for about 5.5 hours.
Also assisting on scene, Wyoming County Emergency Services, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, NYS Police, NYSEG and Wyoming Correctional.
