25 volunteers placed 2,977 flags at the VA Batavia Medical Center on Richmond avenue on Saturday afternoon, to recognize the victims of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The volunteers, from National Fuel, American Legion, VA staff/volunteers, VA Volunteer Service Department and the VA Police, spent about 2.5 hours setting up the flags in front of the Batavia VA Medical Center.
This is the second year of the 911 display at the Batavia VA on Richmond avenue.
A 911 Ceremony will take place on Monday, September 12, 2022, at 1:00p.m. at the flag pole on the VA property in Batavia. (Rain location will be on the patio behind the medical center)
The public is welcome to visit the site on Sunday September 11, 2022, through Sunday September 18, 2022.
