BATAVIA/Woman who failed to appear in court after her dog overdosed on drugs several times, jailed after warrant arrest

On September 10, 2022, Cassandra Elmore, 30, was arrested for obstructing governmental administration 2nd on an active arrest warrant for failing to appear on multiple penal law and vehicle and traffic law violations, along with a bench warrant for Ag and Market Law violations.

On September 10, 2022, Batavia Police were called to 316 E. Main street for a disturbance over some property, where Elmore was a participant. After being advised by officers of the outstanding warrants, Elmore attempted to stop officers from arresting her by closing the door, then actively resisting attempts to place her in handcuffs.

Elmore was arraigned before Judge Burns in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail with bail set at $5,000.00 cash on the warrants. Elmore is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 09/15/2022 at 1:30 PM
