A dog and four cats perished in a house fire after the resident arrived home to discover the home on fire.
Strykersville, North Java and Arcade Fire responded to 5068 Rt. 98 in the Town of Java on Friday, September 16th about 5:13p.m., the home is owned by Barb Conroy. Estimated damages are pegged at $50,000 and the fire remains under investigation.
The occupant of the home will be staying with family.
