Adrian R. Taylor, 44, of Rochester, NY, was arrested following a collaborative investigative effort between the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, multiple out of county law enforcement agencies, and Wal-Mart Asset Protection Investigators.
Taylor was alleged to have entered the Warsaw Wal-Mart Store on August 23, 2022, filled up a tote with electronic merchandise, and attempted to steal the merchandise worth $3,739.88. Store employees were credited with deterring the attempted theft, and Taylor fled from the scene in a vehicle used in multiple other thefts and attempted thefts throughout New York State. Taylor had previously been prohibited from entering Wal-Mart properties due to multiple past thefts.
Taylor, an eleven-time convicted felon, who is currently on parole following a 2018 grand larceny in the fourth-degree conviction, was arrested on September 19, 2022 by Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies. Taylor is charged with burglary in the third degree, attempted grand larceny in the third degree, reckless driving, aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree, and unlicensed operation. Taylor was arraigned in Warsaw Town Court and then committed to the Wyoming County Jail without bail pending further court proceedings.
