GENESEE COUNTY/Indictments

A Genesee County Grand Jury has indicted Iverson M. Davis, 20 of Rochester, NY, accusing him of grand larceny 3rd degree, a class D felony, and nine counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument 2nd degree, a class D felony, after allegedly stealing property having value in excess of $3,000.

Davis was allegedly using numerous Western Union money orders, knowing they were forged and with intent to defraud and deceive at Batavia Downs in the Town of Batavia between the dates of March 25th and March 28th, 2022.

Garlyn M. Gause, 42, of Rochester, NY, has been indicted and is accused of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree, a class B felony, two counts of tampering with physical evidence, a class E felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor, after a traffic stop in the City of Batavia on April 24, 2022.

Gause allegedly possessed cocaine with intent to sell it and then allegedly tried to hide the drugs when he was taken into custody.

Trevor T. Cooke has been indicted and is accused of driving while ability impaired by drugs, a class E felony, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 1st degree, a class E felony, after allegedly operating a vehicle on Bloomingdale road in Alabama, NY, while he was allegedly impaired by drugs or alcohol on April 2, 2022.

According to District Attorney Kevin Finnell, Cooke was previously convicted of the crime of DWI Per Se as a misdemeanor on November 30, 2021 in the Town of Albion and the conviction was within ten years of the current crimes alleged in the indictment, which forms the basis for the suspension or revocation in count two of the current indictment.
