Arrests

Petit Larceny, 1:37 PM, Saturday, October 8, 2022, E. Main St. – On 10/10/2022, Joseph T. MARTINO, M/30, no permanent address, was arrested on the above listed charge. MARTINO allegedly stole merchandise from a local business. He was processed at the Batavia Police Department and issued an appearance ticket returnable to Batavia City Court for 10/25/2022 at 1:00 PM and released.  

Criminal Contempt 2nd, 1:39 PM, Monday, October 10, 2022, Ellsworth Ave. – On 10/10/2022, Aaron T. HENDERSHOT, M/26, of Batavia, NY, was arrested after an investigation into a violation of an order of protection. It is alleged that HENDERSHOT was present at the home of the protected party of a stay away order of protection. He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in City Court on 10/13/2022 at 3:30 PM.  

Unauthorized use of a vehicle, 3:00 PM, Thursday, April 23, 2020, E. Main St. – On 10/6/2022, Marcella F. GREENE, F/38, of Bliss, NY, was arraigned in Batavia City Court by Judge Burns on two bench warrants and an arrest warrant out of Batavia City Court. GREENE was held on bail and is to appear in Batavia City Court on 10/27/2022 at 1:30 PM.  

Driving While Ability Impaired – Drugs; Leaving the scene of a property damage accident; Following too closely, 9:55 AM, Thursday, September 1, 2022, Oak St. – On 10/6/2022, Tammy L. CICATELLO, F/52, of Batavia, NY, was arrested for an incident that took place on 9/1/2022. It is alleged that CICATELLO left the scene of a property damage accident, and when City Police located her, she was impaired by drugs. CICATELLO was issued several traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in City Court on 10/20/2022 at 1:30 PM.  

Bench Warrant, 1:09 AM, Friday, October 7, 2022, E. Main St. – On 10/7/2022, Christine M. CAPLIS, F/42, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on a bench warrant by the Batavia Police Department. CAPLIS was arraigned at Batavia City Court and held on $5,000 A, $7,500 B, and $10,000 C. CAPLIS is scheduled to reappear in Batavia City Court at a later date.  

Petit Larceny, 6:06 AM, Sunday, October 2, 2022, Jackson St. – Joseph T. MARTINO, M/30, no permanent residence, was arrested on three counts of the above listed charge after he allegedly shoplifted on three separate occasions from two local businesses. MARTINO was issued an appearance ticket, returnable to Batavia City Court on 10/25/2022 and released.
