WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/November 15, 2022

A traffic stop on Route 20A for a speeding violation, 71/55 mph zone, on November 11, 2022, resulted in the arrest of the operator, Kamrul I. Hassan, 21, of Buffalo, NY. Hassan is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and speeding/speed over 55mph zone. Hassan had one active suspension on his New York State license for a failure to answer out of the Town of Cheektowaga.

He was processed roadside and given an appearance ticket and is due back in the Town of Warsaw Court on November 28, 2022.

Mark A. Woodard, 46, of Gainesville, NY was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 19 in the Town of Pike on November 10, 2022. Woodard was stopped while operating a 2001 GMC Sierra pickup truck with equipment violations, and during the traffic stop Woodard failed standardized field sobriety testing.

Woodard was arrested and transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where he was charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or higher, inadequate stop lamps, inadequate plate lamps, and failed to dim high beams.

Woodard was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charges in the Town of Pike Court on November 29, 2022, and he was released to a sober third party.

Victor J. Verrego, 50, of Broadalbin, NY was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 19 in the Town of Warsaw on November 10, 2022. Verrego was stopped after being observed driving into oncoming traffic.

Verrego was found to allegedly have multiple open beer cans inside his vehicle and failed standardized field sobriety testing. Verrego was taken into custody at which time he refused to cooperate any further with chemical testing.

Verrego is charged with DWI, reckless driving, consumption of alcohol in motor vehicle, refusal of preliminary breath test, and failure to keep right. Due to his refusal of a chemical test, Verrego was arraigned in Warsaw Town Court where his driver’s license was immediately suspended pending a refusal hearing.

Verrego is scheduled to appear in court on December 5, 2022, in Warsaw Town Court. Verrego was then released in compliance with NYS Bail Reform.
