PERRY POLICE REPORT/Perry man charged after allegedly breaking into a motel room

Perry, NY- Chief Michael J. Grover reports the arrest of a Perry man following an incident in the Village of Perry.

On December 1, 2022, at approximately 1:30 PM, the Perry Police Department responded to the Park Lake Motel, 55 North Main street in the Village of Perry, for a complaint of a male that broke into a motel room.

Upon arriving on scene, Officer Croll discovered that 31-year-old Keagan A. Christian had allegedly entered and remained inside the motel room without purchasing a stay in the room. Officer Croll located Christian inside a motel room along with unpacked belongings.

Upon confirming that Christian had no permission to be inside the motel room, Officer Croll placed him under arrest, charging him with burglary 2nd degree/ Illegal Entry-Dwelling and petit larceny.  

Christian was arraigned in Perry Village Court in front of the Honorable Tammy Kelsey. The Wyoming County District Attorney’s Office recommended $10,000 cash bail, $20,000 bond, $45,000 partially secured. Judge Kelsey committed Christian to Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail, $10,000 bond, or $20,000. Christian has a return court date of December 13, 2022 at 2:00pm in Perry Village Court.
