GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Corfu man charged after fleeing the scene of an accident

Bryan P. Bartha, 61, of Boyce Rd., Corfu, NY, is charged with DWAI/drugs/1st offense, moving from a lane unsafely and leaving the scene of a property damage accident on June 27, 2022 at 6:30p.m.

Deputies say Bartha was allegedly involved in a motor vehicle collision where he struck a utility pole while operating a vehicle allegedly impaired by drugs in the town of Pembroke on June 27, 2022.

Bartha was released with appearance tickets and will appear in Pembroke Town Court on December22, 2022 at 1:00p.m.

Michael J. Fazio, no age provided, of Walworth, NY, is charged with criminal possession of stolen property 4th degree and petit larceny, after he allegedly used a stolen credit card to make purchases at the LeRoy Kwik Fill in August of 2022.

Fazio was arraigned in LeRoy Town Court on December 6, 2022 and was held without bail. Fazio is currently incarcerated at the Wayne County Jail on unrelated charges.

Howard, 23, of Lake St., LeRoy, NY, is charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. Howard was encountered during a property check at the Kwik Fill gas station in the Town of LeRoy on November 28, 2022 at 2:37a.m.

Howard will appear in Town of LeRoy Court on December 17, 2022 at 4:30p.m.

Christopher M. Penkszyk, 37, of Byron, NY, is charged with offering a false instrument for filing 1st degree, after he allegedly provided false information on an official document.

Penkszyk was arraigned in City Court and released under his own recognizance.

He is due back in City of Batavia court on December 20, 2022 at 1:00p.m.

Jada I. Smith, 21, of Mourning Dove Rd., Niagara Falls, NY, is charged with criminal trespass 2nd degree, after allegedly trespassing onto Genesee County Community College property after she had been previously told not to come back onto the property at 8170 Batavia-Stafford Townline.

Smith was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Batavia Court on January 5, 2023 at 1:00p.m.
