GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Deputies say Rochester trio was found leaving a store with bags full of stolen items

On January 6, 2023, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a possible larceny in progress at Ulta Beauty, 4192 Veterans Memorial Drive. Upon arrival, the three individuals in question were walking to their vehicle with bags full of stolen items according to deputies.

Mone N. Wiggins, 24, and Yathil Karis K. Lay-Rivera, 24, are each charged with grand larceny 4th degree, a class E felony and conspiracy 5th degree, a class A misdemeanor. Wiggins was additionally charged with criminal impersonation, a class A misdemeanor. Also charged in the incident, Aniyah E. Kendrick, 18. Kendrick is charged with conspiracy 5th degree.

All three subjects will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on January 24, 2023 at 3:00p.m.

Assisting in the investigation, Deputy Ewert, Deputy Chamoun and Deputy Kipler.

Tommy L. Mobley III, 42, of LeRoy, NY, is charged with attempted criminal possession of a weapon 4th degree, after allegedly attempting to purchase a firearm at 411 W. Main Street while he was prohibited by law to do so on September 27, 2022.

Mobley was transported to the Genesee County Jail for prints and photos and was released on an appearance ticket. Mobley will appear in Batavia City Court on February 28, 2023 at 1:00p.m.

Vicki L. Showler, 51, of Alabama, NY, is charged with petit larceny after allegedly stealing merchandise from the Dollar General store in Oakfield on N. Main Street on January 4, 2023.

Showler was transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing and will appear in Oakfield Town Court on February 6, 2023 at 5:00p.m.
