NYS Police Report/Java man charged after resisting arrest and interfering with an investigation

On February 10, 2023, Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested Ryder J. Berry, 22, of Java, NY, charging him with three counts of assault with intent to cause injury to an officer (felony charges), two counts of menacing with a weapon, obstructing governmental investigation and resisting arrest.

On February 10, 2023, Troopers responded to the town of Java, NY for a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, the suspects had fled on foot. Troopers were eventually able to locate the subject that allegedly committed the burglary.

Ryder J. Berry allegedly interfered with the burglary investigation by acting unruly. Berry actively resisted arrest and in the process of taking Berry into custody he injured officers. Berry was transported to SP Warsaw for processing. He was arraigned in front of the town of Warsaw Judge.

Berry was remanded to the Wyoming County jail in lieu of $20,000/$40,000 cash/bond. He will re-appear in the town of Java court on February 15,2023.

On February 10, 2023, Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested Brandon J. Brooks, 28, of Gowanda, NY charging him with burglary in a dwelling/causing injury (a felony charge).

On February 10, 2023, Troopers responded to the town of Java, NY for a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, suspects had fled on foot. Troopers were able to locate Brooks and he was taken into custody. Brooks was transported to SP Warsaw for processing and was arraigned in front of the town of Warsaw Judge.

Brooks was remanded to the Wyoming County jail in lieu of $50,000/$100,000 cash/bond. Brooks will re-appear in the town of Java court on February 15, 2023.
