GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Pair involved in larcenies from vehicles in Elba facing more charges

Evan J. Vanskiver, 31, of Sweden, NY, and Adam J. Montes, 38, homeless, are each charged with criminal mischief 4th degree after allegedly damaging a vehicle by attempting to unlawfully gain access to the vehicle on Church Street in Elba on February 27, 2023 at 5:00a.m.

Both subjects were released with appearance tickets and will appear in Elba Town Court on March 22, 2023 at 5:00p.m.

Evan F. Maynard, 22, of Batavia, NY, is charged with falsely reporting and incident 3rd degree on February 26, 2023. Maynard reported an alleged crime to a deputy. After an investigation into the complaint, it became apparent that Maynard allegedly reported false information to law enforcement and allegedly pawned several items at a pawn shop on February 25, 2023.

Maynard was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Batavia Town Court on March 14, 2023 at 3:00p.m.

Gary M. Herrmann Jr., 44, of Caswell Road, Byron, NY, is charged with DWI, and driving with a BAC of .08% or more, following a domestic incident in Byron on February 27, 2023 at 3:30p.m.

Herrmann was issued uniform traffic tickets and released. He is to appear in Byron Town Court on March 20, 2023 at 4:30p.m.

Brian E. Daggar, 37, of Elba, NY, is charged with petit larceny after allegedly stealing merchandise from a store at 4133 Veteran’s Memorial Drive on February 26, 2023.

Daggar will appear in Batavia Town Court on March 14, 2023 at 1:00p.m. to answer the charge.
