WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Buffalo man with 6 suspensions charged during traffic stop

On March 1, 2023, at approximately 4:49pm, a deputy from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s
Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Perry after observing a
violation of the New York State vehicle and traffic law.

The operator of the vehicle identified himself as Emery Gibbs, 23, of Buffalo, NY. Gibbs was found to have 6 total suspensions on his license, with 5 scoffs on 5 dates. Gibbs was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree and speed in zone.

He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to the Town of Perry Court at a later date.

On February 26, 2023, Brent Graham, 34, of Akron, NY was arrested following a traffic stop in the Town of
Java. Graham was observed running a stop sign on Youngers Road, crossing Route 78.

Wyoming County deputies found Graham to have revoked NYS driving privileges, with four revocations
and one suspension. Graham was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the
2nd degree, speeding and failure to stop at a stop sign.

Graham was issued a uniform appearance ticket and is to appear in the Java Town Court at a later date.

Cory Whitney, 54, of York, NY, was arrested by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and charged with
aggravated unlicensed operator in the 3rd degree following a traffic stop on Rt. 20A in the Town of Perry on March 5, 2023.

Whitney was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Perry Court 04/05/2023.

Brian Kilpatrick, 35, of Corning NY, was arrested by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and charged with
aggravated unlicensed operator in the 3rd degree following a motor vehicle accident on Saltvale Road in the Town of Middlebury on March 5, 2023.

Kilpatrick was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Middlebury Court on
03/27/2023.

  1. Most all the Maple Syrup producers are legit businesses. Watch that your wholesome syrup is coming from one of those sources, and do not have their business entwined with the courts about not being legit. Make sure their equipment is clean, and it is clean around their place of production. Enjoy a good pure product !
